OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
The 3-Star Outrigger at Lae Nani Resort is
located on Kauai's eastern shore, nestled on
a beautiful beach front, with sweeping lawns
to the sand, coconut trees and lush gardens
surrounding the low rise condominiums in a
very serene setting. There are 58 condos in
several 3 story walk-up buildings, most with
stunning views of the ocean. There is even
an ocean pool created from natural stones
where you can relax in rejuvenating sea
water of the Pacific.
Property amenities include complimentary
parking, nearby golf courses, coin-operated
laundry, dry cleaning/valet service and
luggage storage. There is a large oceanfront
swimming pool, surrounded by a sun deck and
a very broad lawn, where you can idle away
as much time as you like, watching the
clouds go by or watching the waves roll in.
If you want to be more active, there are
lighted tennis courts and the ocean, which
offers opportunities to snorkel, swim or
boogie board. The Outrigger at Lae Nani also
has barbeque grills and a picnic area -
picture grilling steaks and eating out under
the stars while gazing out at the ocean -
this is one reason why Hawaii is called
Paradise.
Every child 5 to 10 years of age (2 maximum)
receives a Free Island Explorer Kit at
check-in with a minimum 3 night stay. The
Explorer Kit includes a Friends of the Reef
Adventure Guide/Let's Explore Hawaii Guide,
backpack, sunglasses, pen and binoculars.
Upon arrival when checking in, guests
receive a packet of three postcards, one
packet per room. Postcards From Paradise
will be mailed by the Outrigger at no cost
to anywhere in the world. Additional
postcards may be purchased at the Reception
Desk, which also will be mailed at no cost.
While there are no restaurants at the
condominium, the property is very close to
The Coconut Marketplace, ideal to pick up
some souvenirs, take in a movie or enjoy one
of the many restaurants. A short drive away
is the charming town of Kapa'a, known for
its good restaurants and charming boutiques
offering everything from art to clothes to
jewelry, much of it very unique.
Many people prefer condos over a hotel,
mainly because they save money on eating out
all the time, using that money saved for
various adventures and attractions. For some
reason, cooking breakfast or dinner while
looking out to the ocean with warm tropical
breezes blowing and palm trees swaying is
much more fun to do than at home. There is
both a Wal-Mart and a Safeway Grocery Store
in Lihue, where you can stock up on
essentials, items to barbeque, snacks to
nibble on and perhaps some beer and wine to
sip while sitting on your lanai watching the
sun set.
Kauai is simply a beautiful island, voted by
Travel & Leisure Magazine as the second best
island in the world. It doesn't have much
night life, so if that is what you are
looking for, you might want to choose
another island, such as Oahu or Maui. It
does have peace, it does have serenity and
it does have some of the most spectacular
scenery in the world. From Waimea Canyon
State Park to the Na Pali Coast and from the
Wailua River to Hanalei, it would be
difficult to find a more beautiful spot on
earth. |
