The 2.5-star Cliffs at Princeville is
located on a lush 22 acre hideaway in a
spectacular setting on the bluffs of Kauai's
North Shore. Nestled between the ocean with
the mountains as a backdrop, the Cliffs
offer One Bedroom and One Bedroom with Loft
units, featuring either a Garden or Ocean
View. Guests need to check in at the Kauai
Coast Resort at 520 Aleka Loop, Suite 12 in
Kapa'a, on the way from the airport to
Princeville. There guests will receive the
keys, property welcome packet, registration
and maps.
There are nine 3-story buildings set among
the tropical gardens with nine barbeque
areas. Property amenities include a
recreation pavilion with pools, jet spa and
sauna, four tennis courts, putting green,
Activities Center, barbeque grills, picnic
area, laundry facilities, complimentary use
of nearby Fitness Center, complimentary
parking, volleyball court, half court
basketball, children's playground,
horseshoes, bike rental, shuffleboard,
internet access in public areas (fee),
Concierge services, Business Center and safe
deposit box at front desk.
There is no on-site restaurant at the
Cliffs, but there is a wide choice of fine
dining in the Princeville Resort area and an
array of dining options in the quaint town
of Hanalei. Of course there is the fully
equipped kitchen and you can save quite a
bit of money by cooking some of your meals
"at home", especially breakfast and even
packing a picnic lunch when planning to
explore another part of the island. Before
leaving the airport at Lihue, stop off at
the Wal-Mart and/or Safeway Grocery Store
where you can stock up on essentials,
beverages, items to barbeque, snacks to
nibble on, breakfast and lunch items. And
what could be better than to barbeque some
steak or fresh fish and dining al fresco on
your lanai while watching a tropical sun
set?
The property is adjacent to the Princeville
Resort as well as the championship 45-hole
Princeville Golf Course and nearby is the
Princeville Shopping Center offering an
array of stores and restaurants. Hanalei
Bay, celebrated in song and in the movie
South Pacific, is only about 3 miles away
and the perfect spot for strolling on the
beach and watching the sunset. The Cliff's
at Princeville receives very positive
reviews. It is not directly on a beach
because of the bluffs, but it is close to
one of the loveliest beaches in the world. |
