The 3-star Marc Pali Ke Kua at Princeville
overlooks world famous Hanalei Bay in a
tranquil setting with tropical plantings
and, of course, wonderful ocean views.
Located on the 200-foot cliffs of
Princeville, the ocean views are stunning.
There is a switchback trail that leads down
to a secluded beach, which is not
recommended for swimming, but does provide
some great snorkeling when the water is
calm. The two and three story
plantation-style walk-up buildings feature
98 One and Two Bedroom Suites.
There is a large lawn area where there is a
pavilion with barbeques and picnic tables,
perfect for an evening of grilling under the
stars. Property amenities include an
Activities Desk, two swimming pools (one for
children), complimentary newspapers in the
lobby, Concierge, complimentary parking, and
high speed internet access in public areas
(fee). A perfect place for swimming and
snorkeling is at Hanalei Bay which is more
protected from the waves and is only about a
ten minute drive.
Of course there is the fully equipped
kitchen and you can save quite a bit of
money by cooking some of your meals "at
home", especially breakfast and even for
packing a picnic lunch when planning to
explore another part of the island. Before
leaving the airport at Lihue, stop off at
the Wal-Mart and/or Safeway Grocery Store
where you can stock up on essentials,
beverages, items to barbeque, snacks to
nibble on, breakfast and lunch items.
The Marc Pali Ke Kua at Princeville gets
