OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Set on 800 lush tropical acres on Kalapaki
Bay, the 4-Star Kauai Marriott Resort &
Beach Club is an elegant resort that offers
a seemingly endless amount of amenities and
services to their guests. From the quarter
mile beach front to the Garden of Kalapaki,
a 50,000 sq. ft. indigenous garden of flora,
ponds and waterfalls and the magnificent
26,000 sq. ft. swimming pool, it would be
difficult to find a lovelier spot for a
luxurious vacation or get-away. The hotel is
nonsmoking, but there are quite a few
designated smoking areas for guests who do
smoke.
The outdoor pool is one of the largest
swimming pools in the state and simply
beautiful. Although most people come to
Hawaii to swim in the ocean, once you've
settled in at the pool, it is hard to leave
it. But Kalapaki Beach in front of the hotel
is also a nice spot for swimming with little
wave action, perfect for young children.
Other property amenities include a Concierge
Desk, full Business Center, local restaurant
delivery service, whirlpool, express check
in and check out, a children's program and a
great golf course just steps away.
There are also beautiful koi (carp) ponds
where you can feed the fish, a Fitness and
Aerobic Center with cardiovascular
equipment, free weights and aerobics and the
Alexander Spa & Salon offering body scrubs
and wraps, manicures and pedicures, massages
of all types, facial treatments and more.
There are five very good restaurants on site
for dining including Kukui's, featuring a
Pacific Rim gourmet buffet in an outdoor
setting, open for breakfast, lunch & dinner;
Aupaka Terrace with Japanese specialties,
open for breakfast and dinner including a
sushi bar with martini specials and
entertainment five nights a week; and the
Kalapaki Grill, open for lunch only,
offering light fare, beachboy burgers,
grilled snacks and pizza, located by the
pool.
Two other restaurants round out the choices
including Duke's, open for lunch and dinner
specializing in fresh fish, steaks, local
island fare and a fantastic salad bar. The
final restaurant on the property is the
award-winning Café Portofino, open for
dinner only, featuring a terrific wine list,
wonderful northern Italian food and dining
ál fresco overlooking the harbor - one of
the most romantic restaurants on the island.
One other option would be dining in the
Gazebos and Cabanas where you can order a
romantic dinner on the beach featuring
international cuisine.
The Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club is a
wonderful property that gets great reviews
from guests, from the spectacular pool area,
to the restaurants, to the service. It is a
luxurious property that one could easily
spend a week at without leaving and enjoy
every day. Get up early and watch the sun
rise out of the ocean - it's quite stunning
and also quite different from watching it
come up over land. Simply put, this is a
resort that can make your dreams come true. |
