Activities: Hiking, hiking, hiking!! 45 miles of trails Nearest Store, Gas, Dining: Restaurant and lodge provides some meals, but supplies are In Kekaha or Waimea, 19 miles away.

restrooms to pit toilets
Parking: Depends on where you camp
   
Best Time To Go: All year, but it is
located on the rainy side of the island.
Time Allowed: Five nights in any one 30 day period for the state park sites.
   
Other Facilities: picnic tables, outdoor grills, covered pavilions, dishwashing sinks. Cabins have full facilities. Water Available: Depends on where you camp
   
Nearby: Many different hiking options, Kokee Museum, Waimea Canyon, Kalalau Lookout, Alakai Swamp, Type of Camping: Tent, cabins & vehicle only
   
Costs/Permits: $5.00 per night per campsite. Cabin prices vary. See link below. Directions: FromLihue, take Hwy. 50 to Kekaha and the sign to Waimea Canyon (Hwy. 55). Follow Hwy. 55 along the rim of the canyon to Kokee Lodge, about 22 miles from Kekaha. You are now in Kokee State Park. From there, proceed to the campsite you have chosen.

  OVERVIEW  
     
  The park offers commanding views of the lush, amphitheater-headed Kalalau Valley from 4000 feet elevation. Wildland picnicking, tent camping and lodging. Hiking in native rain forest and along rim of Waimea Canyon; additional trails in neighboring forest reserves. Excellent area for observation of native plants, forest birds and insects.
