OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Exotic birds, tropical flowers, forests of
ferns...this trail is the jungle come alive.
If you want to see a Kauai rainforest
without expending to much effort, this is
it. Its a dewy, humid, sweet smelling, short
hike to a fine vantage point, with views of
the lush valleys of Kawi, Mount Waialeale,
and Kapehuaala, one of the highest peaks in
the Makaleha Mountains. The hike is best in
the morning, its the best time to hear the
symphony of birdsong and catch a glimpse of
I'iwi, Apapane, Elepaio. or Amkihi birds
that frequent the upland woods and
rainforests..... |
