OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Lots of native plants line this trail
leading to two plateaus on top of Kaukaopua
Ridge, where you have near 360 degree,
unobstructed views of Hanalei Valley,
Hanalei Bay, and the Kauai Coastline. It
follows an old route established in the days
of prohibition, when Okolehao, a Hawaiian
liquor, was being distilled from the roots
of ti (ki in Hawaiian) plants. You can still
see ti plants along the trail...... |
