OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
This sweet, little, self guided walk is a
great way to begin your visit to Koke'e
State Park. You'll weave through a native
Hawaiian forest, set at 3,600 feet
elevation, which includes plants found
nowhere else on earth. There are more than
30 plants and trees identified on this walk.
Enter the forest and take a look at the
Koki'o Ke'oke'o, a white flowering hibiscus
that is found only on Kauai. If its fall or
winter, it might be blooming. You'll pass
Ohe'ohe trees, Halapepe plants and Loulu
Palms before reaching a Kauila, which is
endemic to Hawaii......... |
